From the Gunpowders Plotter's only son, Robert Percy, who swore a Protestation of Oath of Allegiance to King Charles during the 17th Century Civil Wars, and reportedly lost two sons during the fighting, through to today, our family have proven themselves to have been loyal and responsible citizens in the varied fields of milling, building, engineering, commerce and farming.
What we have treasured most during the intervening centuries, is the claimed extinct Louvain-Percy male DNA that we male Percys claim to carry through our Sherborne, Taunton and Cambridge ancestors.
Now that the technology to resolve the old male Percy lines existence without doubt today is readily available, we with respect, ask the British establishment, and citizens of England and elsewhere, to exercise their famous sense of fair play and support our request for exhumations and male analyses in England. If for nothing else, at least for the sanctity of English history.
