I have been trying to find out more about my family history, Bill Percy is my uncle and John Percy is my father as mentioned in this paragraph �Bill� Percy of Masterton?� Cameron replied �He is my grandfather." �Do you know he is the rightful Earl of Northumberland?� It transpired that the man in Palmerston North was John Percy, a distant cousin we had never met, and that his family had been instrumental in saving many important records and letters from the Petone Percy Reserve. This chance discovery by Cameron and John Percy�s foresight was the �trigger� needed to start this �pilgrimage�. I remember being told story's of how my grand father gave the Percy reserve to the New Zealand government way back when it was a lot bigger than what remains and that the government broke the gift guild lines by putting a road through the middle of it and selling of over half the land, as of this time i have no idea if any of it is true and where i truly hail from in history and im looking to commentate my history in a tattoo and need help finding answers to my history, any help would be grateful.
